Need a hand? A real person reads every message.
Contact us
In the SKWAD.community app, go to Profile › Settings › Contact us. There are three options, and each opens a short Google Form:
- Suggest an idea: an activity, a feature, anything we should build.
- Get help: ask us anything.
- Report a bug: tell us what broke, and we'll fix it.
What you type in a form goes to Google, which stores it for us under Google's privacy policy. See our Privacy policy for more.
Rather email? Write to support@skwad.community any time. If it's about your account, write from the email address you sign in with, or include your @username. We don't store email addresses, only a scrambled fingerprint, so that's how we find your account. For anything sensitive, like deleting your account, we'll confirm by emailing that address first.
Questions people ask
What's a hangout? A small, real-world plan someone nearby posts: a pickup game, a coffee walk, a board-game night. Open hangouts join in one tap, no approval needed.
How do I host one? Tap Create, pick what you're doing, when and where, and how big the group is (2 to 50, you included, so a 1-on-1 works too). Keep it open for your neighbourhood, or invite just your friends.
What if I can't make it? Cancel from the hangout as early as you can, so someone else can take your spot. Cancelling 3 or more hours before the start never counts against you.
Who can see my name? People browsing a hangout see how many spots are left, and only recognise the people they're already friends with. Once you join, the host and the others going see your @username. Your name is shown only to your friends. A friend request that hasn't been accepted yet doesn't show it.
How do I get an invite? SKWAD.community is invite-only for now. Ask a friend who's already on SKWAD.community to send you a code from the app.
Is SKWAD.community free? Yes. Hangouts are free to post and free to join.
How do I delete my account? In the app: Profile › Settings › Delete account, and your personal details are erased straight away. Can't use the app? Email support@skwad.community from the address you sign in with. We'll email that address to confirm before we delete anything, and handle it within 30 days.
Safety and reporting
If someone breaks the rules, tap them in the app (on their card in Connections or search, or in a hangout's list of people going) and choose Report. To report a chat message, tap it in the hangout's chat. Pick what's wrong and add any details. Reports go to the SKWAD.community team, never the host. We read every report, and the person you report isn't told who reported them. In an emergency, always call 911 first.
Zero tolerance for serious harm. Anything that puts a child at risk, trafficking, prostitution or solicitation, sexual assault or rape, sexual harassment or abuse gets a permanent ban. We take every report of it extremely seriously. We preserve the account's data and never erase it, and we report it to the authorities with the information the law allows us to share.
To stop someone from finding or inviting you, block them from the same card. A block works both ways: neither of you can find or invite the other. You can undo it any time in Profile › Settings › Blocked users.
Child safety
SKWAD.community has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualising a minor in any way, and any attempt by an adult to contact or meet a minor. These are our published standards against it.
- Adults only. SKWAD.community is for people 18 and over. Everyone confirms they're 18 or older when they sign up, and we close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.
- Built to limit contact. There's no photo or video sharing and no private messaging. A hangout's chat is a fixed list of short preset messages, so nobody can send free text or images through it.
- How to report. In the app, tap the person (on their card, or in a hangout's list of people going) or the chat message, choose Report, then pick Involves a minor. You can also email support@skwad.community any time, with the @username and what happened. You don't need an account to email us. If a child is in danger right now, call 911 first.
- What we do. A report that involves a minor goes straight to our team's urgent queue, and we preserve the reported account's data so it can't be erased while we look into it. We remove content and permanently ban accounts that break these standards, and we report child sexual exploitation, including CSAM, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires. We work with law enforcement as the law requires.
- Point of contact. Our child safety point of contact is the SKWAD.community founder, who reads every report that involves a minor. Reach them at support@skwad.community.
See our Terms of service for the community rules and our Privacy policy for how we handle reports and legal requests.
